Our Review
You can connect with people who wish to rent your boat or hire you as a boat captain through Boatsetter’s online marketplace. If boat owners want to purchase the website’s commercial insurance policy, they will pay a 20–35% cost on each rental. Geico Marine underwrites the insurance, and the cost varies depending on the yacht. A 10% cost per rental is applied to boats having commercial insurance or a charter insurance policy.
Any additional payments made on behalf of the owner or renter are also subject to processing fees from Boatsetter. Fuel, damage/security deposit payments, and other small fees are included in this. The processing price at the moment is 3% + $0.15 per charge.
